Starting a New Club at Delta

Have a great idea for a new club? We love that energy! Starting a club at Delta is a fantastic way to build community, explore your interests, and get involved, but there are a few important steps to make it official.

To start a club, you will need:

  • A purpose - What is your club about?
  • Regular meetings - You will need to meet and keep meeting minutes
  • A Club Constitution - Do not worry, we have a sample to help you draft one
  • An ASB Advisor - Must be a certified staff member at Delta, like a teacher
  • Elected Student Leaders - Like a president and secretary
  • A Club Budget - What are your fundraising goals, if any, and how will you use your funds?
  • Expenditure Approvals - All spending must be approved in advance

Education Code requires that your club advisor be a certificated Delta staff member. No exceptions.

Clubs that do not meet the criteria above cannot be officially recognized and will not be able to access ASB funds.

Complete the New Club Proposal Form and submit it to ASB Leadership for review and approval. We are here to support you every step of the way. Just ask Ms. Dawn or Mrs. Sprague if you have questions!
