Understanding the FCMAT ASB Manual
At Delta Charter High School, we believe in helping our students lead and manage activities responsibly, and that includes how we handle funds. To support this, we follow the guidelines set by FCMAT, the Fiscal Crisis & Management Assistance Team.
FCMAT was created to help California schools with financial and management best practices. For ASB (Associated Student Body) programs like ours, they provide guidance through a key resource:
The ASB Accounting Manual, Desk Reference, and Fraud Prevention Guide
This manual provides clear direction on:
- Fundraising and how funds should be managed
- Purchasing procedures
- Student stores and vending machines
- Roles and responsibilities for all ASB-related activities
We use this manual as our go-to reference to make sure ASB operations are handled clearly, fairly, and in line with state guidelines.
